Winnie Carmo is the founder of Airbnbs Luanda, a local accommodation service in Angola that offers humanized accommodation and promotes immersive tourism. At 34 years of age, she considers herself a minimalist, smiling, forthright and empathetic person. She began her professional career in England, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Business Management and French at Oxford Brookes University.
She worked in Paris, France, in Qualitative Market Research and returned home to Luanda to work for an oil company, where she left in 2016 to start her career as an independent professional.
After working as an interpreter and writer of gastronomic articles for 4 years, in June 2020 she founded Péssima Infeliz, a coaching and mentoring service, dedicated exclusively to guiding Angolans who want to navigate the world of entrepreneurship with confidence, from 2020 to 2023.
In July 2020, he launched his book – FREE-lancing: Shaping your mind. Planning your business (only available on Amazon), which reached bestseller status.
Finally, in January 2023, she returned to 100% of her work as a real estate manager in local accommodation, an activity she had been practicing since 2017. As well as aiming to provide a service of excellence, her great ambition is to have a social impact, especially on the lives of Angolan women.
As an Angolan, daughter of the Earth, she can’t do without a roasted banana with ginguba and her motto in life is “Life is too short to be small”.
